Construction

We possess both the workforce and expertise necessary to construct a dependable network to fulfill any fiber optic requirements. Our in-house design team specializes in creating networks for various mediums, including structured cable, fiber optic, copper, and coaxial ring systems. Our capabilities encompass OSP (Outside Plant) and intrabuilding installations for fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cables. Additionally, we are equipped for directional drilling, utility scanning, microtrenching, as well as traditional trenching and excavation, allowing us to adapt to diverse installation requirements seamlessly.

Telephone Installers

With a legacy spanning over three decades, our team of 80 expert telephone technicians has proudly served residential and commercial customers since 1989.

Specializing in network installation, data cabling, fiber optics, and WiFi setup, JAF Communications stands for top-notch quality, consistency, and professionalism in low voltage cabling services.

From initial cabling to configuring Cat 6 setups and testing voice/data lines, our services embody excellence, ensuring secure connections and reflecting our unwavering commitment to quality and professionalism.

Maintenance

Our specialty is external plant maintenance for copper and fiber. We are also involved in the deployment of the new technology called GPON. Our goal is to restore interrupted services within 24 hours or less, so that customers are not left without essential telephone and internet services. Our work in Plant Maintenance covers a range of tasks, from replacing poles and terminals to dealing with underground issues and manhole malfunctions.

Project Management

With a deep understanding of the local telecommunications industry, our expert project managers navigate the unique challenges of the region while ensuring efficient project delivery. From initial planning and resource allocation to risk assessment and quality control, our services encompass every stage of the project lifecycle. Training

We employ a range of training methodologies. Within our facilities department, we have a specialized team devoted to training new personnel. Furthermore, we offer incentives for referrals from family and friends. Our company is dedicated to assisting our technicians in obtaining their work equipment upon successful completion of training and their commitment to a loyal service with JAFCOM. We extend various forms of support to aid them in reaching their objectives and obtaining all necessary resources to maintain quality standards and foster growth within the telephone facilities department.

Emergency Services

JAFCOM teams are located in Metro Area, South Area, North Area, Central Area, and West Area, as well as Vieques and Culebra. There are 4 teams per zone, consisting of 4 to 6 individuals depending on the task’s requirements. All teams are trained to respond to emergencies swiftly, aiming to restore service as quickly as possible.

We also maintain multiple dispatch warehouses strategically situated near our team locations. This ensures easy access to materials and facilitates an immediate response capability.
